A Bit About Me

Hello!

My first experience with theater was at the age of 6 when I had the opportunity to play the Fairy Godmother at a theater camp production of Cinderella — despite desperately wanting to play Cinderella like every other little girl there. But as the ever-persistent 6-year-old I was, I got to sit on a piano for most of the show and had the audience sing Bippity Boppity Boo right along with me, giving my an instant love for audience participation.

Ever since then, I have been involved in every aspect of theater I possibly could be. Through studying Musical Theater at Colorado State University, I have had the opportunity to dabbled in directing, and have found the process of creating a concept and running a rehearsal room unbelievably exciting. In addition, I have continued performing, received an Irene Ryan KCACTF award for performance, and worked as a choreographer and vocal instructor at Kids Do It All.

Throughout my theater journey, I was drawn to teaching as a way to share the joy of theater with the younger generation. I started working with kids 8 years ago and I firmly believe that theater provides a safe space for children to express themselves, be creative, and learn valuable skills that help them grow into wonderful, well-rounded people.

Outside of the theater world, I spend most of my time with my dog hunting for the best coffee in town.
